previous 1/10 next 3/10  ANTONIO-UNITED 0 - 10 Schachtjor (393670358)

Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 695 at San siro today. Yannick Wolf was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Karl Wilfer and Valerio Martinelli. A 2-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for ANTONIO-UNITED. Starters: Vassura - Porcaro, Ferraguti - Schettino, Zecchino, Fabbrici, Feliciano, Pecis - Dell'Anna, Veroli.

Schachtjor decided to use a 3-4-3 set up. They fielded: Morselli - Draber, Mar Bravo, Lund Pedersen - Dell'Albani, Scattino, Grandez, Wright - Galiccia, Andersson, Vähä.

The terraces were silenced after 11 minutes when Schachtjor's P. Vähä put the guests ahead 0 - 1, following an attack on the right. Schachtjor increased their lead after 27 minutes when I. Galiccia broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 2, much to the home crowd's dismay. After 37 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed N. Andersson to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 3. The players of Schachtjor now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. 39 minutes in, ANTONIO-UNITED appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only passable. V. Scattino was ever so close to scoring after an excellent corner was beautifully flicked on by D. Wright, but the ball bounced off the post to safety. 43 minutes into the game, ANTONIO-UNITED seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to weak. N. Andersson increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 4. 44 minutes into the game, ANTONIO-UNITED seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a poor level of organisation. Halftime score was 0 - 4. Schachtjor claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 76 percent.

The ANTONIO-UNITED players spent the break getting a rerun of the team's tactical organisation and regained a passable organisation when the game started again. After 61 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for N. Dell'Albani who increased Schachtjor's lead to 0 - 5. With 65 minutes played, Schachtjor put themselves up 0 - 6 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was D. Wright. G. Mar Bravo left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 70 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. J. Pajusaari was the replacement. After 70 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave R. Grandez a chance to increase the lead for Schachtjor, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 7. After 79 minutes Schachtjor's I. Galiccia limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. After 80 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as ANTONIO-UNITED found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to inadequate. N. Dell'Albani of Schachtjor took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 81 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 8. After 89 minutes, Schachtjor raised their score by one when D. Wright's dangerous low cross was cleverly tucked in at the near post by N. Dell'Albani. 0 - 9. That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for N. Dell'Albani. 89 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 10 as R. Grandez finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. ANTONIO-UNITED's B. Fabbrici managed a superb strike from the left after 89 minutes that would have left goalkeeper B. Morselli without a chance, had it not hit the post. Schachtjor enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 77 percent of possession.

Most important ANTONIO-UNITED player was C. Feliciano. I. Porcaro was a disappointment, however. N. Andersson performed admirably for Schachtjor. On the other hand, J. Pajusaari's play was disheartening. The match ends 0 - 10.
