Due to an all-day shower, 1734 paying spectators got to see a match on a pitch-turned-bog at Veiga de Forcas Arena. Nicolae Bordes was the appointed referee. Forcas started off with a 2-5-3 lineup. Forcas saw most attack opportunities on the wings. Kippen were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks. After 9 minutes, B. Frosini came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 1 - 0, giving Forcas the lead. Forcas solidified their lead at the 14 minute mark, as B. Frosini dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 2 - 0. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Forcas scored another to make it 3 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for V. Venev after 23 minutes. After 25 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and F. Manso gave the Forcas supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 4 - 0. The players of Forcas now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. L. Maza really should have scored when he was chosen by fate to confront a wide open goal following a great play by A. Espronceda after a corner. B. Frosini of Forcas received a yellow card after 29 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. G. Branco of Kippen was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. 4 - 0 was the score after the first half. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Forcas, with 62 percent of the ball.

Kippen's counterattacks created a good chance for H. Stråmyr on the right after 60 minutes, but he could only look on with dismay as his strike rebounded off the crossbar. B. Frosini had a fantastic opportunity to put Forcas up another goal 65 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. Kippen's F. Tajeira was shown a yellow card after 77 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Forcas put in a good effort on the right, but P. Moreno Blanco saw his volley fly wide of the mark 78 minutes into the game. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Kippen's E. Ginjaar was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 80 minutes. D. van der Molen was given a chance to change things around. Forcas had most of the ball, with 58 percent of possession.

A. Amilleta performed admirably for Forcas. A. Espronceda on the other hand, had a terrible day. Kippen's top performer was clearly H. Stråmyr. However, Y. Menderes made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 4 - 0.
