The strategy for FCLP was to use their ability to press. ks were relying on their ability to counter-attack. ks mounted an inspired counterattack down the right wing after 6 minutes, but M. Pérez was unable to convert from short range. 11 minutes in, FCLP appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only passable. 18 minutes into the game, FCLP had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to weak. 36 minutes into the game, R. Neukom had a great chance to put his team ahead, but his kick from the left went wide. It was 0 - 0 at the break. ks claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 56 percent.

The FCLP players spent the break getting a rerun of the team's tactical organisation and regained a passable organisation when the game started again. Priding himself in being an active coach, the ks manager gave new instructions to his players after 54 minutes. FCLP pressed their opponents, causing the game to be a bit of a stalemate at times. The ks coach adjusted their lineup with 72 minutes gone. M. Belmonte and M. Brcanski assumed each other's positions. ks had most of the ball, with 56 percent of possession.

As neither team was able to break the deadlock before the end of regular play, the teams took to the field again for extra time. A review of the gameplan helped FCLP get back to a solid organisation when the referee blew his whistle again. K. Blind got new instructions from the FCLP coach after 91 minutes. He changed positions with D. Ramet soon after. After 91 minutes, the FCLP manager redeployed his men. M. Bathily swapped positions with J. Picquet. 91 minutes into the game, FCLP wanted to bring some new energy to their game. J. Chassaing gave A. Kouroupakis a quick hug as he left the field. A mistake by the home side's central defence after 94 minutes allowed R. Pol to score for ks. The scoreboard now read 0 - 1. This put an end to extra time, making ks the winners. FCLP's top performer was clearly M. Bathily. S. Lavaud turned in a dismal performance, however. The most dominating ks player was without a doubt M. Radulović. K. Novković on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 1.
