Fc.S81 tried to focus their attacks down the middle. Tiszaszalka mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. A mistake by the home side's central defence after 13 minutes allowed G. Brenninger to score for Tiszaszalka. The scoreboard now read 0 - 1. H. Chehreh Gosha of Tiszaszalka was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. After 22 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Tiszaszalka found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to inadequate. Some fine movement on the left led to a Tiszaszalka goal after 31 minutes, making it 0 - 2. P. Exelmans was noted down as the scorer. P. Lewsjö's early cross saw the defenders caught out of position and the alert E. Huiberts was able to pounce and roll the ball past the hapless goalkeeper to score for Fc.S81. 1 - 2. It was obvious that team Fc.S81 had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings. 43 minutes into the game, S. Huidobro came close to levelling the score with a dangerous shot from the centre of the area that went just over the bar. 44 minutes into the match, F. Tuzzi came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. After 44 minutes, Tiszaszalka's H. Chehreh Gosha fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit! It was 1 - 2 at the break. Fc.S81 claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 59 percent.

The coach gave his players an extra tactical briefing during the break, and after that Tiszaszalka had solid organisation. The crowd chanted their encouragement as Fc.S81's P. Lewsjö came in from the right after 47 minutes and put the ball in the net to level the score at 2 - 2. Tiszaszalka had several good opportunities to take the lead, especially 68 minutes in when M. Aspiran came up alone against A. Arcellone who managed a block. The terraces were silenced after 69 minutes when Tiszaszalka's L. Spatenka put the guests ahead 2 - 3, following an attack on the right. Fc.S81's D. Vânău was shown a yellow card after 78 minutes for slicing down an opponent. 79 minutes into the game, Tiszaszalka seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a solid level of organisation. S. Huidobro made a superb strike after 82 minutes with a shot straight in front of the goal after a long ball through the middle, but one of the visitors' defenders got a foot in at the last second and warded it off for a corner. With 83 minutes played, Tiszaszalka put themselves up 2 - 4 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was L. Spatenka. Confident in their lead, Tiszaszalka's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. Fc.S81 enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 53 percent of possession.
