previous 3/10 next 5/10  F.C. Tzaov 4 - 1 TEAM (393678390)

It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 1870 that came out to Yellow Hell. Udi Benayoun was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Sune Berglund and Paolino Tarricone. F.C. Tzaov started off with a 4-5-1 lineup. Lineup: Mărgelu - Gren, Makhlav, Dim, Gahlmann - Légrády, La Barbera, Dzionek, Öğet, Ableidinger - Levanon.

TEAM had chosen a strategic 4-5-1 formation. They fielded: Valero Giménez - Talpaz, Segev, Benkő, Gerayev - Milo, Borgo, Gerrassy, Ingesson, Gonen - Bublil.

F.C. Tzaov preferred to finish off their attacks from a distance. TEAM focused on getting players in position for long range shots. After 23 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as TEAM found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to weak. F.C. Tzaov took the lead 27 minutes in, as S. Makhlav broke through on the left and put the 1 - 0 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper. After 31 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by L. Légrády might have resulted in another goal for F.C. Tzaov. However, R. Valero Giménez made a spectacular save. M. Milo could have made it all square after 35 minutes, if only his free kick had been a few inches to the other side of the post. The visitors kept the pressure on to tie the game when, after 37 minutes, L. Gerrassy broke through the centre and found himself alone with the keeper. A. Mărgelu made a great block, though. N. De Smet was called on to replace F.C. Tzaov's E. Öğet after 39 minutes following a nasty collision. 40 minutes in, F.C. Tzaov appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only solid. A corner kick created great disorder in the penalty area with a goal nearly scored by N. Segev. At last, TEAM's R. Gonen was able to backheel the ball in. 1 - 1. F.C. Tzaov's slick passing moves completely confused the defence after 42 minutes, but thanks to R. Valero Giménez's miraculous save from N. De Smet's long shot the score remained unchanged. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 1. Possession in this half belonged to F.C. Tzaov, who controlled the ball 57 percent of the time.

The F.C. Tzaov players spent the break getting a rerun of the team's tactical organisation and regained a solid organisation when the game started again. Despite his frustration resulting in the smashing of a few teacups, the coach of TEAM was able to get his message across, and raised TEAM's organisation to solid. 46 minutes into the game, TEAM wanted to bring some new energy to their game. R. Gonen gave Y. Weiss a quick hug as he left the field. O. Levanon of F.C. Tzaov was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. 54 minutes into the game, F.C. Tzaov had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to solid. 63 minutes into the match and the home team took a 2 - 1 lead after breaking through on the left. The scorer for F.C. Tzaov was L. Légrády. 75 minutes into the game, TEAM seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a weak level of organisation. Things were deteriorating for the away team as F.C. Tzaov scored another to make it 3 - 1 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for S. Makhlav after 78 minutes. It was obvious that the tactic of the day for TEAM was to go for long shots, but in order to score they have to do better than the shooting attempt from M. Milo after 86 minutes, which was a total failure. O. Levanon finished off the counterattack of F.C. Tzaov from the left rather easily, making the score 4 - 1. 88 minutes into the game, F.C. Tzaov seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a inadequate level of organisation. F.C. Tzaov claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 55 percent.

Most important F.C. Tzaov player was A. La Barbera. On the other hand, A. Mărgelu's play was disheartening. S. Borgo performed admirably for TEAM. N. Segev was a disappointment, however. The match ends 4 - 1.
