Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of K.C.F.C..
Oslo were relying on their ability to counter-attack.
After several obvious shirt pulling incidents,
A. El-Hadeed got himself booked. The manager of Oslo was not happy.
After some beautiful movement down the left wing,
D. Kojić scored for K.C.F.C. putting them ahead 1 - 0, after 4 minutes.
Things were going to get worse for the visitors.
G. Takemura squirmed through their central defence after 33 minutes, increasing the lead to 2 - 0.
With 42 minutes played, K.C.F.C.'s
O. Musser almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net.
K. Funakoshi should probably have put his team up another goal after 42 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by
C. Frahm kept the visitors in the game.
With 44 minutes played,
D. Kojić could have brought this one home for K.C.F.C. as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high.

A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in K.C.F.C.'s
M. Babataev increasing the lead to 5 - 0.

R. Sandvik received a second yellow card after 79 minutes; his ticket out of the game.
