2417 fans braved the pouring rain at 4thehorde Arena. Beni Michlin was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Torbjörn Gabrielsson and Stefan Johansson. 4thehorde started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Zupanič - Vodeb, Jeranko, Šmit - Anžel, Stefančič, Stenko, Peršin, Lončar - Napotnik, Bausola.

Guarana decided to use a 4-5-1 set up. They fielded: Baltrons - Botija Vela, Rial, Kitel, Neira - Santisteban, Oberndorfer, Mautner, Casamayor, 偌鹏 (Ruopeng) - Øen.

The wings were the focus of most of 4thehorde's attacks today. For their match strategy, Guarana had decided to use their ability to counter-attack whenever possible. R. Øen didn't let the weather get him down and made some great moves on the pitch in spite of the rain. It was obvious that 4thehorde had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle. The home crowd breathed a collective sigh of relief when S. Neira was unable to put the ball in the net after his show of skill down the left 17 minutes into the match. He was seen beating the pitch in frustration at missing such a good chance to give his team the lead! 4thehorde had a good opportunity to take the lead as D. Lončar came up the left side, but he struck the ball weakly and it went straight into the arms of A. Baltrons. 4thehorde had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead. The guests almost went up by a goal after 38 minutes when F. Kitel came through and shot from the right. The ball bounced harmlessly off the post, though. Many thought A. Napotnik ought to have been awarded a penalty 40 minutes into the game, as he went down trying to dribble around A. Baltrons after a determined run through the middle. Good work by the Guarana defensive line after 41 minutes produced a good counterattack chance, which cut elegantly down the middle of the pitch and found 夏. 偌鹏 (Ruopeng) alone in front of the goal, but his shot whistled just wide. It was 0 - 0 at the break. 4thehorde had most of the ball, with 56 percent of possession.

46 minutes into the game, 4thehorde wanted to bring some new energy to their game. D. Lončar gave M. Bajde a quick hug as he left the field. J. Anžel would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. T. Neuberg entered the game for 4thehorde as the match clock showed 46 minutes. With 63 minutes played N. Vodeb almost put the home team one ahead on a cross coming in from the right, but the shot went just wide. Guarana's defence sent a ball soaring up the middle on a beautiful counterattack with 64 minutes gone, but R. Øen's finish was met by the reaching hands of the keeper. After 72 minutes of play, F. Bausola gave the home team a 1 - 0 lead after an attack coming in from the right. M. Santisteban, who often relies on his speed, had a rotten day on the drenched grass. 4thehorde were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings. 4thehorde increased the lead as K. Šmit struck to make the score 2 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. 4thehorde's T. Neuberg left the field after 83 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was J. Štiberc. 4thehorde enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 63 percent of possession.

Most important 4thehorde player was M. Bajde. A. Stefančič was a disappointment, however. Guarana's top performer was clearly F. Kitel. On the other hand, R. Øen's play was disheartening. The match ends 2 - 0.
