1940 spectators arrived at
PPP Wonders Arena, where weather conditions were pretty good for football.
Lucicã Enache was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Stefan Cole and
Illias Lejeune.
A 4-5-1 alignment was the formation of choice for Wonders.
The following players had been chosen: Eriksson - Jun, 淮财 (Huaicai), Kwartel, Dolleris - Jing Heng, Nie Chang, Eng Leong, Lam, bin Awang - bin Mohd Saad.
Iwwerzwerch tactics involved an interesting 5-4-1 combination.
They fielded: Malczuk - Warmington, Köpping, Fekete, Murtenthaler, Bormbrook - Wegleitner, Balderis, Belbers, Knauss - Kendler.
Iwwerzwerch tried to focus their attacks down the middle.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
A. Lam from Wonders a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 18 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
Iwwerzwerch were forced into a substitution as
G. Fekete couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing
T. Polzhofer to come in off the bench.
Wonders took the lead, 1 - 0, after a penalty 32 minutes into the match.
L. bin Mohd Saad scored from the penalty spot.
1 - 0 was the score after the first half.
Possession in this half belonged to Wonders, who controlled the ball 80 percent of the time.
A free kick just outside of the visitors' penalty area after 56 minutes could have resulted in another goal, but
W. Malczuk got a hand out and tipped the ball over the bar.
F. Bręk was called on to replace Wonders's
L. Jing Heng after 60 minutes following a nasty collision.
Wonders put themselves up 2 - 0 when
C. Eng Leong broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake.
C. Dolleris looked like he could use a snooze after 86 minutes, as
O. Wegleitner took the ball from under his nose and almost scored for Iwwerzwerch!
吴. 淮财 (Huaicai) had a fantastic opportunity to put Wonders up another goal 87 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar.
L. Nie Chang of Wonders was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle.
Wonders claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 83 percent.
The most dominating Wonders player was without a doubt
F. Bręk.
L. Jun was a disappointment, however.
M. Kendler performed admirably for Iwwerzwerch.
H. Belbers on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 2 - 0.
