The 524 spectators at Stadio delle Grave were in for an afternoon of sunshine. Gian-Reto Fischbach was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Kurt Lipovsky and Johannes Isaksen. Chiriatti. Lucky for him though, there was no goal. Santarrosalia fans held their breath as U. Rotondo scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 1 - 0! With 31 minutes played, Santarrosalia's G. Signoriello almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net. After 34 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Fringuello found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to passable. With 35 minutes played, E. Antolli of Santarrosalia fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. After 36 minutes Fringuello's F. Wetzel had to be carried off on a stretcher in agony. G. Uva came in to replace him. Fringuello's counterattacks created a good chance for R. Plitz on the right after 42 minutes, but he could only look on with dismay as his strike rebounded off the crossbar. 1 - 0 was the score after the first half. Santarrosalia had most of the ball, with 56 percent of possession.

Despite his frustration resulting in the smashing of a few teacups, the coach of Fringuello was able to get his message across, and raised Fringuello's organisation to solid. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Santarrosalia coach let C. Alesi replace E. Antolli after 46 minutes. The sunny day didn't make things easy for G. Bocchia who didn't seem his usual powerful self on the pitch. 75 minutes into the game, Fringuello had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to weak. Fringuello were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings. The visiting team's R. Ferrarese was able to score the 1 - 1 equaliser with a header 79 minutes into the match, after some good work on the right. When C. Alesi was badly injured by a couple of strong tackles after 80 minutes, Santarrosalia fans were unhappy to discover that it was not possible to make a substitution. The head of G. Uva connected with a corner kick after 81 minutes, and the ball ended up with R. Tamagnini of Fringuello who blasted the ball into the net, making the score 1 - 2. The crowd roared in delight as F. Corallini finished off a spectacular series of passes through the middle to even the score for Santarrosalia 82 minutes into the match. 2 - 2. 83 minutes into the match, the visiting Fringuello made the score 2 - 3 after A. Vergnasco executed a perfect free kick. Santarrosalia enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 52 percent of possession.

The most dominating Santarrosalia player was without a doubt G. Bocchia. However, P. Ciaccia made a disastrous appearance. Fringuello's top performer was clearly G. Uva. Z. Csimasz was a disappointment, however. The match ends 2 - 3.
