(393705007)

01-08-2012 13.30
It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 700 that came out to
De Lisp Arena.
Skip Jones was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Bernard Gibault and
Kalle Paludan.
Fort tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.
The following players took the field: Gailliez - Malal, Heyligen, Devresse - Gielen, Mondelaers, Herreros, Blonde, Mbalayi - Villyn, Meeuwissen.
TP decided to use a 4-4-2 set up.
They fielded: Kurtov - Sucena, Barros Martins, Porcher, Uittenbogaard - Gidor, Raposo, Menéndez, Ráskó - Frade, Mont.
Fort mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle.
A mistake by the home side's central defence after 30 minutes allowed
N. Barros Martins to score for TP. The scoreboard now read 0 - 1.
TP's
E. Uittenbogaard was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 33 minutes.
After 34 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for
H. Sucena who increased TP's lead to 0 - 2.
J. Frade of TP took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 42 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 3.
Q. Mondelaers tried to get a goal back for Fort but despite all his hard work down the right, he just couldn't complete the move.
Just a few inches to the right, and the visitors could have had a goal 44 minutes into the match.
J. Raposo surely wishes he could do that free kick over again.
Halftime score was 0 - 3.
TP enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 57 percent of possession.
E. Uittenbogaard's lack of experience almost gave Fort a goal after 53 minutes, but the shot went right into the keeper's arms.
After 73 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave
B. Ráskó a chance to increase the lead for TP, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 4.
By now, the players in TP felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward.
After 82 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed
B. Gidor to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 5.
W. Blonde of Fort was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle.
The goal for 0 - 6 was a funny story: after 84 minutes the seemingly nonchalant lob from TP's
E. Uittenbogaard landed at the feet of
J. Frade who sidefooted it into the net - nice goal!
J. Raposo increased TP's lead to 0 - 7 with a superb free kick strike that flew in just under the far top corner.
The referee showed Fort's
J. Malal the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
T. Menéndez enjoyed the sunshine and demonstrated his stunning technique over and over again.
TP had most of the ball, with 58 percent of possession.
B. Meeuwissen performed admirably for Fort.
Q. Mondelaers turned in a dismal performance, however.
TP's best player was
T. Menéndez.
However,
V. Kurtov made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 0 - 7.
