Kramer had a fantastic opportunity to put Potsdam up another goal 43 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. Halftime score was 2 - 0. Potsdam enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 70 percent of possession.

A great save by keeper F. Schut after 54 minutes kept the visitors in the game after F. Liehner struck from the left with a real cannonball. P. Dokuchaev's curling free kick almost found the goal for Potsdam, but the visitors' keeper somehow managed to get ahold of it. Potsdam's F. Casino saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 57 minutes. Coming from the right, C. Heintze almost managed to score another goal for Potsdam, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper. Pennenstreep's counterattacks created a good chance for M. van den Hanenberg on the right after 68 minutes, but he could only look on with dismay as his strike rebounded off the crossbar.
