Chaliba almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. Eintracht2 took the lead 11 minutes into the game, making the score 0 - 1 after some elegant movement down the middle. R. Dehmen was the scorer. A corner kick created great disorder in the penalty area with a goal nearly scored by R. Stuhrmann. At last, Eintracht1's D. Argomenni was able to backheel the ball in. 1 - 1. Eintracht1 had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. D. Gallez couldn't do anything to stop the technically gifted H. Eintracht1 enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 61 percent of possession.

A. Libelle had a good try after 50 minutes, coming in on a fine move from the left, but the ball went wide. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for Eintracht1, as they moved the ball from the wings to the middle with startling regularity. The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to A. Tuvwald, but the Eintracht1 player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 3 - 2! Things were going to get worse for the visitors. A. Tuvwald squirmed through their central defence after 58 minutes, increasing the lead to 4 - 2. After 79 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by B. Bauche might have resulted in another goal for Eintracht1. However, T. Pesarotto made a spectacular save. Eintracht2 were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally. After 82 minutes a very unfortunate collision in the penalty area led to Eintracht2's A. Vercraeye being carried off the pitch and replaced by F. Pihlen. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Eintracht1's D. Ulivieri increasing the lead to 5 - 2. It was obvious that team Eintracht1 had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings. Cheers filled the stadium as M. Kasserini broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 6 - 2 to Eintracht1. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Eintracht1, with 68 percent of the ball.

Most important Eintracht1 player was D. Ulivieri. On the other hand, B. Bauche's play was disheartening. The most dominating Eintracht2 player was without a doubt A. Chaliba. However, B. Siegen made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 6 - 2.
