(393748562)

01-08-2012 15.05
A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 1563 to
fond du trou.
Erwin Steinkogler was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Bobbie van ‘t Schip and
Joaquín Ramírez.
A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for V.B.C.
The following players took the field: Vasilache - Sola, Galli, Kubendran - Verlet, Laroche, Baloche, Colin, Bouchot - Fort, Marignan.
Bayern started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
They fielded: Ruiz - Rivière, Picard, Labaune - Driussi, Mazeau, Drouin, Berna, Ćwierz - Schläger, Roblin.
The wings were the focus of most of Bayern's attacks today.
Some great play up the middle by V.B.C led to a chance for
É. Sola to score after 9 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar.
30 minutes into the game, Bayern wanted to bring some new energy to their game.
M. Driussi gave
S. Girerd a quick hug as he left the field.
É. Bouchot of V.B.C was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle.
38 minutes into the match and the home team took a 1 - 0 lead after breaking through on the left. The scorer for V.B.C was
A. Marignan.
V.B.C's
C. Fort increased the lead to 2 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 39 minutes.
After 40 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and
V. Kubendran gave the V.B.C supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 3 - 0.
The players of V.B.C now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle.
The teams went for the halftime break at 3 - 0.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by V.B.C, with 60 percent of the ball.
The bench was restless, and with 46 minutes passed Bayern's coach gave
S. Richard the opportunity the player had been hoping for.
A. Ćwierz reluctantly left the field.
After 59 minutes, Bayern switched
S. Girerd with
A. Martina, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch.
Cheers filled the stadium as
J. Colin broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 4 - 0 to V.B.C.
A lunatic dribble by
A. Laroche, in front of his own keeper, set up Bayern's
R. Roblin for an embarrassingly easy strike after 72 minutes. 4 - 1!
V.B.C's
V. Kubendran got himself booked for a foul.
Bayern fans were dismayed when it was apparent no substitutes remained after
A. Ruiz's injury.
A field player had to replace the goalkeeper, and this difficult task fell to
J. Drouin .
F. Verlet could have put V.B.C up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 80 minutes.
A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in V.B.C's
A. Marignan increasing the lead to 5 - 1.
É. Sola's lack of experience almost gave Bayern a goal after 87 minutes, but the shot went right into the keeper's arms.
Possession in this half belonged to V.B.C, who controlled the ball 67 percent of the time.
V.B.C's top performer was clearly
C. Fort.
However,
V. Kubendran made a disastrous appearance.
The most dominating Bayern player was without a doubt
R. Roblin.
R. Schläger turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 5 - 1.
