UNFC took a creative approach on the field. Harlequines tried to focus their attacks down the middle. Harlequines were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally. After 6 minutes, Harlequines's T. Ene made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 0 - 1. After 15 minutes, UNFC surprised their opponents with a breakaway counter attack. The defenders had to resort to a foul to stop it. The free kick that followed was a clever indirect effort that almost succeeded, but the defence read the situation well and the intended recipient was left ruing what might have been. 20 minutes into the game, Harlequines had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to solid. T. Ene increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 2. Harlequines's K. Jyrkiäinen left the field after 31 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was R. Dyrin. Almost all the way down to the corner flag, Harlequines's R. Dyrin somehow managed to get a perfect pass into the middle, impossible to miss for J. Ortega Val, who struck for 0 - 3. The players of Harlequines now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. UNFC's A. Börjesson could only shake his head after completely missing a penalty shot 37 minutes into the match. B. Öhström was called on to replace UNFC's B. Fridmar after 40 minutes following a nasty collision. 43 minutes into the game, Harlequines seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a passable level of organisation. 0 - 3 was the halftime score. UNFC had most of the ball, with 54 percent of possession.

During the break, Harlequines's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to solid organisation. Harlequines increased their lead after 57 minutes when A. Albright broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 4, much to the home crowd's dismay. UNFC needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 70 minutes C. Billius made way for T. Jansson. 77 minutes in, Harlequines appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only passable. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, J. Norerberg got himself booked. The manager of UNFC was not happy. UNFC's B. De Geer got the home crowd going when he finished off a left wing charge, reducing the away team's lead to 1 - 4. 85 minutes into the match, T. Ene came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. An indecisive keeper looked on as a free kick by Harlequines's A. Albright put the visitors up 1 - 5 after 89 minutes. Possession in this half belonged to UNFC, who controlled the ball 56 percent of the time.

B. Johansson performed admirably for UNFC. P. Johansson on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Harlequines player was without a doubt A. Albright. E. Sarıca turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 1 - 5.
