Today, Metallari's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks. Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for MoliWorld. 30 minutes in, MoliWorld's O. Ligori received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of MoliWorld's H. Lybaert after 32 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 0 - 1 lead. After 38 minutes, D. Larsson got through on the right and was very close to equalising for the home side, but didn't get the shot away. F. Grillenzoni sailed high above the opponents as he headed in a corner kick from L. Longobardi after 43 minutes of play, making the score 1 - 1. 44 minutes into the match and the home team took a 2 - 1 lead after breaking through on the left. The scorer for Metallari was O. Descheiver. It was 2 - 1 at the break. Metallari had most of the ball, with 76 percent of possession.

The coach of Metallari was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 46 minutes, A. Antunes came on for D. Augier. E. Weiling didn't pace himself at all, and after a series of daring offensive runs he was too tired to help out in the defensive play. O. Descheiver wanted to play on, but the Metallari coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 55 minutes into the game by G. Piccirillo. E. Nãstase was handed the Metallari captain's armband. The home side's D. Larsson came close to extending the lead 62 minutes into the game. His shot came in from the right hand side but Ş. Kuvvetli managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop. MoliWorld's defence sent a ball soaring up the middle on a beautiful counterattack with 63 minutes gone, but B. Crisby's finish was met by the reaching hands of the keeper. MoliWorld's Ş. Kuvvetli had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 68 minutes having been played. T. Kardas was the replacement. A cross coming in on the right hand side left F. Palafox Castro alone in front of the goal after 77 minutes but his shot was woeful. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, B. Crisby got himself booked. The manager of MoliWorld was not happy. Metallari's L. Longobardi swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball. Metallari's L. Longobardi refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 85 minutes. S. Penta neatly controlled the ball after a short corner, and knocked it on to B. Crisby who had the whole net open before him, but only managed to hit the post. Metallari claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 76 percent.

D. Larsson performed admirably for Metallari. F. Grillenzoni on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important MoliWorld player was T. Kardas. G. Alfonzi turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 2 - 1.
