Clear skies welcomed the 1285 spectators who had made their way to SZCZECIN ARENA. Toni Lindström was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Giorgio Alippi and Lee Kwok Cheung. Today, DAB's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks. Down the middle came C. Łychowski, making a fantastic play that nearly had Okmel take the lead after 12 minutes, but K. Eero preserved the tie. Okmel's M. Mańczak was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 19 minutes. J. Mrudziok's lack of experience almost gave DAB a goal after 21 minutes, but the shot went right into the keeper's arms. It was obvious that DAB had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle. DAB could have put themselves ahead after 29 minutes but E. Morán missed a volley shot on a ball coming in from the right. 39 minutes into the match and the home team took a 1 - 0 lead after breaking through on the left. The scorer for DAB was A. Abruzzese. After 40 minutes, a long pass from DAB's A. Amiama caught the defence out of position. R. Kotlarski collected the ball, and with the goal at his mercy calmly rolled the ball just inside the post. 2 - 0. E. Michniak unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 0. DAB had most of the ball, with 72 percent of possession.

After 53 minutes, Okmel were awarded a free kick as their counter attack broke down. The set piece was lifted over the top, intended to open up the defence. However, the target man seemed to be taken by surprise, and could not reach the ball before it crossed the line for a goal kick. After 55 minutes, DAB's T. Gotzev fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit! DAB had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead. The away team improved the scoreline to 2 - 1, as K. Lazarowicz struck home, set up well by a play on the left 73 minutes into the match. Okmel's A. Czarnowski got himself booked for a foul. The home side's E. Morán came close to extending the lead 81 minutes into the game. His shot came in from the right hand side but J. Bordenave managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop. Possession in this half belonged to DAB, who controlled the ball 73 percent of the time.

The most dominating DAB player was without a doubt E. Michniak. W. Zaborowicz was a disappointment, however. Okmel's top performer was clearly C. Łychowski. However, P. Birdziak made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 2 - 1.
