Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and "lA bOmBoNeRa" StAdIuM saw a crowd turnout of 65000. CDGCAT almost scored after a counterattack 20 minutes into the match, but D. Simić took a shot from the left that landed harmlessly in the side of the net. With 25 minutes played, the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending. P. Illeborg put the ball away for 0 - 1. 29 minutes in, CDGCAT's J. Maze received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. J. Bortz showed the skills that make him a real crowd pleaser as he, after 36 minutes, wove through the guests' entire central defence and put the 1 - 1 equaliser away. 1 - 1 was the halftime score. Maipu claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 61 percent.

Maipu were very close to putting themselves one up after 63 minutes as A. Busker got through on the left, but failing in concentration, he shot the ball wide. With the clock showing 75 minutes played, a great pass from the defensive line of CDGCAT resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly brought under control by J. Maze in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high. The guests almost went up by a goal after 77 minutes when R. Dekkers came through and shot from the right. The ball bounced harmlessly off the post, though. F. Breugelmans finished off the counterattack of CDGCAT from the left rather easily, making the score 1 - 2. L. Rocchi fired a shot from distance after 82 minutes, but the long shot couldn't find the net for Maipu. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Maipu, with 61 percent of the ball.

Most important Maipu player was C. Zárate. J. Bortz was a disappointment, however. F. Breugelmans performed admirably for CDGCAT. K. Makaruk on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 1 - 2.
