The 75100 spectators at El Templo Mayor were in for an afternoon of sunshine. Saboya contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game. siempre took the lead 38 minutes in, as C. Arriaga broke through on the left and put the 1 - 0 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper. Patea-Cabezas tied it all up, 39 minutes in, after a spectacular goal by E. Hernandez, who miraculously broke through the home side's central defence, making it 1 - 1. A mistake by the home side's central defence after 42 minutes allowed Y. Chabenat to score for Patea-Cabezas. The scoreboard now read 1 - 2. It was 1 - 2 at the break. Possession in this half belonged to Patea-Cabezas, who controlled the ball 53 percent of the time.

The Patea-Cabezas players could smell victory in the air. Y. Chabenat wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for J. Del Muro after 53 minutes. D. Pino became the new Patea-Cabezas captain. As usual, M. Martínez tried to use his strength and hard work for the benefit of the team, but the heat hit him hard and he couldn't keep pace at all. J. Del Muro was, after 58 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper M. Chivu made the save. An amazing free kick flew past the home keeper 70 minutes into the match, putting Patea-Cabezas ahead 1 - 3. G. Maza was the scorer. In an effort to secure the lead, Patea-Cabezas changed their tactic after 70 minutes. J. Del Muro left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 70 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. C. Freyre was the replacement. The home crowd was not impressed when E. Hernandez came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 76 minutes. Patea-Cabezas were now up 1 - 4. C. Freyre's technique was perfect on this sunny day and led to some breathtaking tricks that bamboozled the defence. G. Maza increased Patea-Cabezas's lead to 1 - 5 with a superb free kick strike that flew in just under the far top corner. The players of Patea-Cabezas now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. Patea-Cabezas had most of the ball, with 54 percent of possession.

siempre's best player was M. Matsson. J. Derycke turned in a dismal performance, however. Most important Patea-Cabezas player was D. Pino. M. Duran was a disappointment, however. The match ends 1 - 5.
