Banco immediately set off using their skill at pressing their opponents. 35 minutes into the match, Riethüsli nearly took the lead, as F. Nielsen broke through on the right. P. Gkizelidis made the save, however. Banco created a good opportunity to score 39 minutes into the match when F. Stradiotto's hooked ball from the left created a scuffle in front of the goal, and the visitors' defenders had a hard time clearing the ball. Banco pressed their opponents, causing the game to be a bit of a stalemate at times. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 0. Banco claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 71 percent.

J. Werle would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. M. Moneta entered the game for Riethüsli as the match clock showed 46 minutes. After 56 minutes, A. Putzu came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 1 - 0, giving Banco the lead. An accurate cross from M. Mavar of Banco was met with a wonderful glancing header from K. Gałażewski, hitting the inside base of the post before nestling into the back of the net for 2 - 0. M. Mavar of Banco was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. After 63 minutes, Banco felt secure enough to make a tactical change. L. Grosen and M. Mavar assumed each others positions on the field. M. Mavar wanted to play on, but the Banco coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 64 minutes into the game by V. Casson. S. Compagnoni left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 65 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. J. Arcuri was the replacement. After 65 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Riethüsli found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to solid. Banco's S. Bünyamin had an excellent opportunity after 69 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! 75 minutes into the game, Banco were awarded a penalty that S. Bünyamin turned into 3 - 0 without a problem. Confident in their lead, Banco's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. Banco managed to extend their lead to 4 - 0 when U. Naaber cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. 82 minutes into the game, Riethüsli had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to weak. The Banco players could smell victory in the air. F. Ilnitskiy wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for N. Josse after 89 minutes. Banco enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 73 percent of possession.

Banco's top performer was clearly N. Josse. However, S. Bünyamin made a disastrous appearance. Riethüsli's best player was R. Grandgirard. On the other hand, A. Dalle's play was disheartening. The match ends 4 - 0.
