A scorching day at Na Veverčím dubu, where 4655 spectators were in place for today's match. Cronborg of Newbies was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Veverčí to 2 - 0 as V. Cvek finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. 37 minutes into the game, Veverčí had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to weak. J. Larsson nearly reduced the lead 38 minutes into the game, but a splendid one-handed save by M. Cirrotti prevented the attempt coming in from the right flank from hitting the back of the net. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. J. Kaprál squirmed through their central defence after 40 minutes, increasing the lead to 3 - 0. The teams went for the halftime break at 3 - 0. Possession in this half belonged to Newbies, who controlled the ball 51 percent of the time.

The Veverčí players spent the break getting a rerun of the team's tactical organisation and regained a solid organisation when the game started again. Newbies had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead. Newbies fought on and, after 65 minutes, B. Vestergård was able to reduce the deficit to 3 - 1 after some excellent moves on the right side were finished off with an incredibly clever chip. Veverčí's E. Peralta was shown a yellow card after 69 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Newbies were forced into a substitution as B. Hasselstad couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing B. Drakander to come in off the bench. It was a hot and sunny day, and several players seemed worn out. Maybe this was why G. Dolmetta found an unusual amount of space for his snappy footwork. After 78 minutes, V. Cvek put Veverčí ahead 4 - 1 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. After 79 minutes Newbies's B. Vestergård limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. 80 minutes into the game, Newbies's attack got through on the right, but J. Andreasson couldn't handle the ball and his feeble kick wound up in the keeper's arms. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Veverčí scored another to make it 5 - 1 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for K. Mørch after 86 minutes. By now, the players in Veverčí felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. Newbies kept trying to force their way through on the right side and S. Demeulenaere got his chance after 87 minutes, but the home side's defence held their position and stopped the attack. E. Peralta increased Veverčí's lead to 6 - 1 with a penalty spot cannonball. It wasn't a good day at all for J. Larsson. His powerful style of play just didn't fit the bill on this warm day. Newbies had most of the ball, with 51 percent of possession.

Most important Veverčí player was K. Mørch. R. Rozmarynowski was a disappointment, however. G. Dolmetta performed admirably for Newbies. On the other hand, B. Drakander's play was disheartening. The match ends 6 - 1.
