Dark skies made the crowd of 982 at Municipal "Tomás Reñones" a little nervous, but the rain held off. Anselm Sorg was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Vito Semenza and Maximilian Lisker. Clásico started off with a 4-5-1 lineup. Clásico used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. Laettiavala mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. Clásico's F. Cadafalch tried to break through in the middle repeatedly, but couldn't get past the visitors' defenders. Almost all the way down to the corner flag, Laettiavala's S. Schulte-Hillen somehow managed to get a perfect pass into the middle, impossible to miss for M. Mirande, who struck for 0 - 1. Clásico needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 36 minutes B. Veres made way for A. Valenza. R. Koch of Laettiavala took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 36 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 2. With 39 minutes played, seemingly due to lack of experience, R. Escarrà needlessly tripped an opponent just outside the penalty area, but the free kick that followed didn't succeed. V. Ribechi could have added one to the visitors' lead if his free kick had gone just a little lower. Laettiavala's S. Barbu had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 42 minutes having been played. N. Lazo Ramos was the replacement. Halftime score was 0 - 2. Possession in this half belonged to Laettiavala, who controlled the ball 52 percent of the time.

The bench was restless, and with 46 minutes passed Clásico's coach gave R. Klodt the opportunity the player had been hoping for. D. Khrachev reluctantly left the field. With 46 minutes played, the Clásico coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. X. Major came on, M. Bourgin had to leave the fray. V. Ribechi increased Laettiavala's lead to 0 - 3 with a superb free kick strike that flew in just under the far top corner. By now, the players in Laettiavala felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. The home side worked their way through the middle and almost got one back when M. Orbegozo tried to sneak the ball past the keeper. S. Cordelle was too alert for that! Laettiavala had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. After 82 minutes, Laettiavala's E. Cecchinato burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 4. The corner kick from J. Barberón was powerfully met by the head of A. Paracki to make the score 1 - 4. Just a few inches to the right, and the visitors could have had a goal 88 minutes into the match. V. Ribechi surely wishes he could do that free kick over again. Laettiavala claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 51 percent.

Most important Clásico player was R. Fridskog. T. Natalicchio turned in a dismal performance, however. Laettiavala's best player was R. Koch. On the other hand, N. Lazo Ramos's play was disheartening. The match ends 1 - 4.
