Esquivias's attempt to finish was easily stopped. It was 0 - 2 at the break. Possession in this half belonged to Almafuerte, who controlled the ball 67 percent of the time.

With 53 minutes played, J. Quinterno nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. alcard had to make a substitution after 64 minutes. V. Damiano limped off the field and was replaced by F. Negri. M. Taddeo became the new alcard captain. Some fine movement on the left led to a Almafuerte goal after 70 minutes, making it 0 - 3. R. Guirriere was noted down as the scorer. Confident in their lead, Almafuerte's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it.
