Stoica alone in front of the goal, but his shot whistled just wide. With 37 minutes played, I. Ralchev of Hércules fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 1. Hércules claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 76 percent.

M. Ştefan wanted to play on, but the Boy`s coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 55 minutes into the game by S. Gheju. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Boy`s coach let D. Toma replace J. Dahlberg after 68 minutes. Boy`s's S. Gheju was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 68 minutes. G. Foix of Hércules was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. In a well-rehearsed move, Hércules delivered a free kick into the box which G.
