Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 1855 to Brown bear arena. Jonas Kölln was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Drãgan Iancu and Arturo Favalli. Slackers mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. After 7 minutes, Slackers's S. Bodyak made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 0 - 1. A penalty was awarded after 22 minutes, and C. Carril made the most of his chance to put Slackers up by another goal. 0 - 2 for the visitors. Slackers's T. Graulund got himself booked for a foul. S. Bodyak received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 30 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 3. The Slackers fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. After 34 minutes, A. Ewing had a good opportunity to reduce the scoreline for Claws with a chance created through the middle, but wasn't cool enough. The ball went miles over the bar. It was 0 - 3 at the break. Possession in this half belonged to Slackers, who controlled the ball 61 percent of the time.

With 53 minutes played, N. Burello nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. The visitors' T. Rose took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 60 minutes into the match. 0 - 4 for Slackers. After 64 minutes, C. Carril sent the corner kick right to B. Ungar-Huber who headed it sharply past the keeper. 0 - 5! Confident in their lead, Slackers's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. After 67 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for J. Campbell who increased Slackers's lead to 0 - 6. Slackers increased the lead to 0 - 7 as C. Carril scored from the penalty spot, putting the ball in near the top left corner. Slackers claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 64 percent.

G. Boninsegna performed admirably for Claws. However, M. Ligne made a disastrous appearance. Slackers's top performer was clearly N. Burello. S. Bodyak was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 7.
