926 fans braved the pouring rain at InverKK Inter Stadium. Nicolas Severac was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Paul Surmont and Jos Bekenkamp. InverKK tactics involved an interesting 2-5-2 combination. Lineup: Planelles - Labricciosa, Beneventano - Ugartondo, Embil, Ramírez, Danek, Jurado - La Santa, Almansa.

G. Badstöber behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 10 minutes as he gave the ball away to F. Jurado. Lucky for him though, there was no goal. The home keeper expected a move to the right, but R. Mágócs surprised him with a free kick aimed the other way 14 minutes into the match. 0 - 1 for CAT-ALANS. 24 minutes into the game InverKK managed a counterattack, but A. La Santa took a soft shot from the left flank that was easy prey for the alert keeper. 34 minutes into the game, InverKK seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a passable level of organisation. 0 - 1 was the score after the first half. CAT-ALANS enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 74 percent of possession.

The InverKK players spent the break getting a rerun of the team's tactical organisation and regained a solid organisation when the game started again. After 62 minutes of play, Á. Ramírez evened things up for InverKK with an impressive goal coming up the middle. 1 - 1. The CAT-ALANS free kick 63 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of J. Guitart, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 1 - 2! CAT-ALANS increased their lead after 71 minutes when J. Guitart broke through on the right, upping the score to 1 - 3, much to the home crowd's dismay. 79 minutes in, InverKK appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only passable. An amazing free kick flew past the home keeper 82 minutes into the match, putting CAT-ALANS ahead 1 - 4. R. Mágócs was the scorer. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave S. Maxim from CAT-ALANS a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 83 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! InverKK fans were dismayed when it was apparent no substitutes remained after F. Jurado's injury. J. Almansa became the new InverKK captain. A. Tuulikangas received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 86 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 1 - 5. The CAT-ALANS fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. InverKK's V. Labricciosa was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 87 minutes. The home crowd was not impressed when R. Massarenti came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 87 minutes. CAT-ALANS were now up 1 - 6. The players of CAT-ALANS now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. Possession in this half belonged to CAT-ALANS, who controlled the ball 80 percent of the time.

Most important InverKK player was A. La Santa. A. Ugartondo turned in a dismal performance, however. S. Maxim performed admirably for CAT-ALANS. However, P. Joa made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 1 - 6.
