A scorching day at Whitegreen Arena, where 1840 spectators were in place for today's match. Sergio Pinga was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Velko Kolev and Anders Malmgren. Whitegreen decided to use a 4-4-2 set up. They fielded: Siripaka - Rogenmoser, Borstnar, Saura, Bruckhart - Jäggle, Wiekusiński, Schlumpf, Delannoy - Stahlberger, Chutanovski.

Bombolo saw most attack opportunities on the wings. Many thought R. Wiekusiński ought to have been awarded a penalty 16 minutes into the game, as he went down trying to dribble around L. Lunardi after a determined run through the middle. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave B. Borstnar from Whitegreen a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 18 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! A. Tessarolo's knee will be throbbing for days, but thankfully for Bombolo, he bravely continued in the match. D. Chutanovski gave Whitegreen the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 1 - 0 Cheers filled the stadium as L. Stahlberger broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 2 - 0 to Whitegreen. 33 minutes into the match, a typically brave header by J. Bargteheide from V. Zampieri's cross looped just over the opposing goalkeeper's desperate reach. Goal for Bombolo, making the score 2 - 1. Whitegreen solidified their lead at the 41 minute mark, as N. Jäggle dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 3 - 1. Whitegreen managed to extend their lead to 4 - 1 when R. Bruckhart cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. Confident in their lead, Whitegreen's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. L. Stahlberger of Whitegreen received a yellow card after 43 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. 4 - 1 was the score after the first half. Whitegreen had most of the ball, with 76 percent of possession.

59 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as R. Bruckhart broke through, making the score 5 - 1 for Whitegreen. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Whitegreen's A. Rogenmoser increasing the lead to 6 - 1. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. R. Bruckhart squirmed through their central defence after 80 minutes, increasing the lead to 7 - 1. This third goal completed a hattrick for R. Bruckhart. A. Tessarolo didn't pace himself at all, and after a series of daring offensive runs he was too tired to help out in the defensive play. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Whitegreen, with 79 percent of the ball.

P. Saura performed admirably for Whitegreen. N. Jäggle turned in a dismal performance, however. Bombolo's top performer was clearly E. Bucherov. C. Lobato on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 7 - 1.
