Högby of Töresiö fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. With 41 minutes played, seemingly due to lack of experience, R. Frenkens needlessly tripped an opponent just outside the penalty area, but the free kick that followed didn't succeed. Töresiö broke through on the left 42 minutes into the game, with K. Högby firing in from an acute angle to give the home side a 2 - 1 lead. 2 - 1 was the halftime score. Harjukatu had most of the ball, with 58 percent of possession.

Harjukatu's right side looked dangerous 50 minutes in, but A. Soler Valera made a good save on H. Lepp's hard shot to the top corner. R. Frenkens wanted to play on, but the Töresiö coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 55 minutes into the game by J. Hjortfeldt.
