Clouds darkened the skies at Olimpico Roma VIII as 2511 spectators turned up for the match. Cato Johansen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Charalampos Dialektos and Gabriel Pedrosa. Roma decided to use a 2-5-3 set up. G. Galanda caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 2 minutes. This gave Roma the 1 - 0 lead. M. Guikema behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 12 minutes as he gave the ball away to D. Woesthoff. Lucky for him though, there was no goal. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Roma to 2 - 0 as M. Guikema finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. The players of Roma now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. 21 minutes in, Mheem's M. Sikilä received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Roma's D. Lamagna went down after a savage challenge, but could continue playing after some medical attention. With 23 minutes played, Roma put themselves up 3 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to F. Lenarczyk, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. D. Lamagna should probably have put his team up another goal after 26 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by J. Möhlmann kept the visitors in the game. Good work by the Mheem defensive line after 27 minutes produced a good counterattack chance, which cut elegantly down the middle of the pitch and found T. van Emmerik alone in front of the goal, but his shot whistled just wide. 28 minutes into the game, Roma were awarded a penalty that A. Bernardini turned into 4 - 0 without a problem. R. Scheidegger increased the lead for Roma to 5 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! 5 - 0 was the halftime score. Roma had most of the ball, with 65 percent of possession.

Roma increased the lead as J. Monteiro struck to make the score 6 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. A bit later, Mheem's H. van Starkenborg easily reduced the lead to 6 - 1 after a misunderstanding in the home side's central defence. Roma's A. Bernardini had an excellent opportunity after 84 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! Things were going to get worse for the visitors. G. Galanda squirmed through their central defence after 86 minutes, increasing the lead to 7 - 1. Roma claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 67 percent.

J. Monteiro performed admirably for Roma. V. Havila on the other hand, had a terrible day. Mheem's top performer was clearly P. Jochemsen. T. Wolfrat turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 7 - 1.
