Clouds darkened the skies at Skellefteå Kraft Arena as 1198 spectators turned up for the match. Ricardo Molitor was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Raffaele Nuccio and Gavrilã Gheorghe. A 5-4-1 alignment was the formation of choice for Schtaan. They fielded: Canabal - Gogoliński, Norpo, Wilson, Xuma, Appriou - Morgan, Sörensson, Gaffney, Callow - Garriga.

Betongen started off with a 4-3-3 lineup. Lineup: Ratzmann - Corradi, Gustavsson, Zehr, Piñal - Vanags, Basualdo, Ranieri - Dehlsten, Ustupski, Bonotti.

4 minutes into the match and the home team took a 1 - 0 lead after breaking through on the left. The scorer for Schtaan was M. Morgan. Coming through the middle R. Corradi almost scored the equaliser for Betongen after 5 minutes, but A. Canabal made an excellent save, tipping the awkwardly curled shot past the post. Good work by the Schtaan defensive line after 6 minutes produced a good counterattack chance, which cut elegantly down the middle of the pitch and found M. Morgan alone in front of the goal, but his shot whistled just wide. A scuffle developed as players from both sides clashed following a tussle in the centre of the field 7 minutes into the match. After regaining order and consulting his linesman, the referee called Schtaan's J. Garriga to one side and produced a red card for the player. Betongen hit back on the counter attack 27 minutes into the game with a free kick. Initially it seemed wasted, hit wide towards the wing. But there was an idea to it - the ball was then crossed towards T. Ustupski, who was waiting for it in the box. That's 1 - 1! Don't forget to thank the set pieces coach for that idea! With 28 minutes played, J. Vanags of Betongen fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. With 30 minutes played, seemingly due to lack of experience, W. Gogoliński needlessly tripped an opponent just outside the penalty area, but the free kick that followed didn't succeed. 34 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Schtaan substitution. R. Marcello came on for W. Gogoliński. R. Dehlsten delivered a good free kick from an excellent position 34 minutes into the game, but luck wasn't on Betongen's side this time and the ball went wide. 1 - 1 was the score after the first half. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Schtaan, with 52 percent of the ball.

After 53 minutes, Betongen put themselves up 1 - 2, as T. Ustupski finished off a strike from the left with a real cannonball of a shot. A foul called during a Betongen counterattack resulted in a great chance to score, but R. Dehlsten's shot rattled off the post. After 63 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed J. Vanags to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 1 - 3. Possession in this half belonged to Schtaan, who controlled the ball 51 percent of the time.

The most dominating Schtaan player was without a doubt R. Marcello. D. Appriou on the other hand, had a terrible day. Betongen's top performer was clearly R. Dehlsten. However, R. Corradi made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 1 - 3.
