(393878671)

08-08-2012 17.50
Due to an all-day shower, 113 paying spectators got to see a match on a pitch-turned-bog at
Psychopaci Arena.
Espen Frank Jensen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Jerry Pettersson and
Niklas Fagerland.
Psychopaci started off with a 4-4-2 lineup.
Lineup: Chrapliwy - Brzeszczak, Godfriaux, Galimski, van Os - Pavlović, Naiman, Mirosław, Wichary - Audran, Miquel.
Piła decided to use a 3-5-2 set up.
The following players had been chosen: Nikumatti - Solskjær, Mazo Calvo, Stauber - Tatarczyk, Povo, Alp, Salgado, Özer - Bilecki, Theisen.
The boggy pitch disrupted the game, especially for technical players like
R. Naiman.
11 minutes into the match, Piła nearly took the lead, as
İ. Alp broke through on the right.
K. Chrapliwy made the save, however.
28 minutes into the game,
J. Bilecki was a hair's breadth away from giving Piła the lead with a shot from over on the left. A prompt block by
K. Chrapliwy saved the home team that time.
After 37 minutes, Piła put themselves up 0 - 1, as
G. Özer finished off a strike from the left with a real cannonball of a shot.
It was 0 - 1 at the break.
Possession in this half belonged to Piła, who controlled the ball 62 percent of the time.
The Piła players could smell victory in the air.
J. Bilecki wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for
W. Milewski after 46 minutes.
G. Özer was handed the Piła captain's armband.
The coach of Piła was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 46 minutes,
F. Carnevali came on for
T. Solskjær.
J. Mazo Calvo left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 60 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead.
F. Bignon was the replacement.
On any other day,
C. Audran's free kick would have found the back of the net to tie the game for Psychopaci, but not today - the visitors' keeper displayed extraordinary reflexes as he blocked the shot harmlessly to the side.
A defender managed to keep the ball from crossing the goal-line after a curling shot coming in from the right from
A. Povo after 71 minutes, and prevented Piła from going up another goal.
After 78 minutes a well-practised indirect free kick routine by Piła was easily anticipated by the defenders. The players forward were so well marked, they were left with few viable options.
Psychopaci's
W. Godfriaux put his head to a high ball coming in from the right after 80 minutes, but the ball went wide.
F. Mirosław of Psychopaci received a yellow card after 87 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Piła, with 62 percent of the ball.
Psychopaci's top performer was clearly
C. Audran.
R. Naiman was a disappointment, however.
The most dominating Piła player was without a doubt
W. Milewski.
On the other hand,
C. Salgado's play was disheartening.
The match ends 0 - 1.
