Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 987 to
Mark Arena.
Władysław Czapiasty was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Wilhelm Zuberbühler and
Şükrü Esinay.
Marktown decided to use a 3-4-3 set up.
They fielded: Picariello - Castells, Chauveau, Urmas - Padrenostro, Beck, Preda, Örfi - Petrov, Lúčny, Manga.
Tequila started off with a 4-3-3 lineup.
Lineup: Durina - Serafino, Sládok, Kastner, Kalný - Zabrucký, Heutschi, Hortenský - Vehovský, Cabrák, Mezník.
Marktown decided to play creatively.
Tequila clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could.
2 minutes into the match and the home team took a 1 - 0 lead after breaking through on the left. The scorer for Marktown was
R. Chauveau.
Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Tequila's
A. Sládok was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 5 minutes.
M. Výlupok was given a chance to change things around.
5 minutes in, Tequila appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only
inadequate.
A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Marktown to 2 - 0 as
N. Manga finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle.
20 minutes into the game, Tequila seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to
inadequate.
M. Padrenostro sailed high above the opponents as he headed in a corner kick from
A. Petrov after 26 minutes of play, making the score 3 - 0.
Cheers filled the stadium as
N. Manga broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 4 - 0 to Marktown.
34 minutes into the game, Marktown were awarded a penalty that
A. Petrov turned into 5 - 0 without a problem.
After this, you could see that the players of Marktown were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals.
After 38 minutes, Marktown's
R. Örfi fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit!
It was 5 - 0 at the break.
Marktown claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 90 percent.
During the break, Tequila's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to
solid organisation.
After 46 minutes, Tequila switched
R. Heutschi with
A. Cunningham, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch.
Tequila needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 46 minutes
R. Kastner made way for
R. Kleišys.
After 57 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Tequila found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to
solid.
M. Padrenostro's early cross saw the defenders caught out of position and the alert
E. Lúčny was able to pounce and roll the ball past the hapless goalkeeper to score for Marktown. 6 - 0.
Marktown increased the lead as
E. Lúčny struck to make the score 7 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper.
A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Marktown's
M. Padrenostro increasing the lead to 8 - 0.
Marktown's
J. Beck increased the lead to 9 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 83 minutes.
Marktown had most of the ball, with 86 percent of possession.
Most important Marktown player was
J. Beck.
E. Lúčny turned in a dismal performance, however.
M. Mezník performed admirably for Tequila.
O. Zabrucký was a disappointment, however.
