After 7 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and H. Leirvik gave the Walmiera supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 2 - 0. The referee showed MBD's J. Ferrán López the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. 22 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as D. Purvinis broke through, making the score 3 - 0 for Walmiera. Walmiera put themselves up 4 - 0 when P. Alvez broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. The players of Walmiera now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. Walmiera's N. van Grimbergen saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 41 minutes. 4 - 0 was the halftime score. Walmiera claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 58 percent.

J. del Naranjo made a brilliant save 59 minutes into the match, blocking a rocket of a shot from J. Barril on the right hand side. N. van Grimbergen could have put Walmiera up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 71 minutes. The intense heat forced H. Leirvik into making some errors because he couldn't seem to keep up with the others. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Walmiera's C. Avon increasing the lead to 5 - 0. P. Alvez enjoyed the sunshine and demonstrated his stunning technique over and over again. Walmiera put in a good effort on the right, but P. Alvez saw his volley fly wide of the mark 85 minutes into the game. Walmiera enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 61 percent of possession.

P. Alvez performed admirably for Walmiera. P. Mathis turned in a dismal performance, however. MBD's best player was F. Bubenko. F. Nahk was a disappointment, however. The match ends 5 - 0.
