Clear skies welcomed the 1135 spectators who had made their way to
La Modorra.
Justin de Ruijsscher was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Gaetano Gaetano and
Louis Souton.
Modorros started off with a 4-4-2 lineup.
The following players had been chosen: Quinteiro - Bécquer, Briuolo, Latorre, Buch - Abendaño, Mata Luque, Rusu, León Arteaga - Moniz, Suances.
Royale decided to use a 5-4-1 set up.
Starters: Specht - Medveş, Debreţeni, Marchionni, Melenciuc, Fereshteh - Pijarczyk, Pettersson, Dragomir, Grazioso - Sembinelli.
Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for Modorros.
For their match strategy, Royale had decided to use their ability to counter-attack whenever possible.
The guests almost went up by a goal after 35 minutes when
D. Pijarczyk came through and shot from the right. The ball bounced harmlessly off the post, though.
Modorros's counterattacks created a good chance for

J. Mata Luque got through on the left, but failing in concentration, he shot the ball wide.
Royale's counterattacks were lethal to the opposing defence, allowing
U. Pettersson to score easily from the right flank for 0 - 1.

Royale were forced into a substitution as
P. Specht couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing
N. Legear to come in off the bench.
D. Pijarczyk was the new captain of Royale - handed the armband by the departing player.
