It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 1250 that came out to Estadio Universitario. Catalino Vaz was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Efisio Trabace and Jonas Södermar. Svensson, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 2 - 1! It was a hot and sunny day, and several players seemed worn out. Maybe this was why K. Bremnes found an unusual amount of space for his snappy footwork. J. Rampoldi could have increased the lead after 34 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Tigres scored another to make it 3 - 1 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for H. Alonso after 35 minutes. Halftime score was 3 - 1. Tigres claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 63 percent.

Tigres managed to extend their lead to 4 - 1 when H. Cárdenas cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. After 62 minutes, M. Ruysschaert put Tigres ahead 5 - 1 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. The players of Tigres now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Bravas's L. Iannone was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 65 minutes. L. Fryszkowski was given a chance to change things around. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Tigres's H. Cárdenas increasing the lead to 6 - 1. Tigres increased the lead as M. Ruysschaert struck to make the score 7 - 1 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. The cannonball from 35 metres by S. Svensson of Tigres was an impressive sight, but didn't make it into the net. Bravas's F. Altamira was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 77 minutes. The bench was restless, and with 80 minutes passed Bravas's coach gave E.
