The intense heat forced R. Samadi into making some errors because he couldn't seem to keep up with the others. J. Degerloch almost put Amateure ahead another goal when he curled a free kick over the defensive wall and almost into the net, but the visitors' keeper got there just in time to knock it wide. After 66 minutes, H. Vornik came close to reducing the score with a free kick aimed near the left post, but T. de la Croix warded the ball off to a corner. Amateure increased the lead as M. Haunsperger struck to make the score 3 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. The players of Amateure now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. Amateure put themselves up 4 - 0 when D. Hergesell broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. Possession in this half belonged to Amateure, who controlled the ball 67 percent of the time.
