It might be a while before the fans see SC's B. Daniv again, after he had to leave the field in great distress at the 34 minute mark. He was replaced by L. Băd. 38 minutes into the game, S. Pico finished off a Paulo left wing counterattack, making the score 5 - 0. This third goal completed a hattrick for S. Pico. 5 - 0 was the score after the first half. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Paulo, with 52 percent of the ball.

The coach of Paulo was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 46 minutes, M. Fallourd came on for A. Signori. The Paulo players could smell victory in the air. J. Waizman wanted to play on, but the Paulo coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 68 minutes into the game by O. Alfonso. Possession in this half belonged to Paulo, who controlled the ball 67 percent of the time.
