Adrianes had a good opportunity to give FLAMENGO the lead as he charged down the right and struck the ball towards the top corner, but the home team's goalkeeper made the save. FLAMENGO's G. Adrianes was dominating his wing and kept sending fine balls into the opposition's box - C. Mutuca managed to volley one of them into the net to make it 0 - 1 after 13 minutes. After 13 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed S. Eberl to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 2. The home team's supporters got excited again when A. Dubiel broke through the visitors' central defence and caught their keeper off guard, making it 1 - 2. A. Haj Hosseini's lack of experience almost gave FLAMENGO a goal after 29 minutes, but the shot went right into the keeper's arms. After 30 minutes, R. Camilli sent the corner kick right to S. Eberl who headed it sharply past the keeper. 1 - 3! The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave S. Eberl from FLAMENGO a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 31 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! E. Samani of BEHBAHAN was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. Halftime score was 1 - 3. FLAMENGO claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 54 percent.

The FLAMENGO players could smell victory in the air. F. Fidalgo wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for U. Polli after 46 minutes. The coach of FLAMENGO was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 46 minutes, M. Lalomia came on for R. Camilli. The visitors' I. Palmas took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 54 minutes into the match. 1 - 4 for FLAMENGO. By now, the players in FLAMENGO felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. 55 minutes in, the unpredictable A. Sajedi of BEHBAHAN turned and curled the ball towards goal, but it flew inches wide of the post, almost taking out a member of the crowd! FLAMENGO had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead. C. Mutuca could have put his team up another goal 58 minutes into the game, after a rush down the left, but his closing shot hit the post. A drive down the left side allowed M. Lalomia to get in close and score another goal for FLAMENGO after 64 minutes, taking the score to 1 - 5. T. Salazar Baraona of FLAMENGO took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 68 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 1 - 6. FLAMENGO enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 52 percent of possession.

Most important BEHBAHAN player was I. Carvalho. However, B. Kouhkan made a disastrous appearance. FLAMENGO's top performer was clearly T. Salazar Baraona. On the other hand, C. Vasconcelos's play was disheartening. The match ends 1 - 6.
