Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 994 to SpVgg Westerholt Arena. Per Lewfeldt was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Vincent Touron and José Luis Pozzo. Westerholt clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could. Westerholt's H. Zitzen was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 11 minutes. Westerholt could have put themselves ahead after 12 minutes but A. Rattanapaisarn missed a volley shot on a ball coming in from the right. The referee showed Westerholt's 優. 和田 (Wada) the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. L. Lowe of Deisterbande had to be helped off the pitch as an injury meant he was unable to finish the game. M. Warnecke came in to finish the match. A lack of experience caused J. Mittendorfer to make a difficult dribble close to dangerous opponent C. Sevilla of Westerholt, who took the opportunity to score making it 1 - 0. The visitors kept the pressure on to tie the game when, after 18 minutes, J. Mittendorfer broke through the centre and found himself alone with the keeper. A. Dijksman made a great block, though. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 0. Possession of the ball saw an equal split between the teams during the forty-five minutes.

Deisterbande needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 59 minutes M. Blahota made way for S. Kudlorz. The visitors refused to give in and, after 62 minutes, G. Haager evened things up as he finished off a perfect pass from the right. 1 - 1 Slack defending gave Westerholt a chance to take the lead with 67 minutes played, but M. Patrukhin's cross from the left flank was fumbled in front of the goal and easily dealt with by the opposition. At 74 minutes played, A. Shepityak came in from the right with the intention of giving Westerholt the lead, but his rocket of a shot rattled the crossbar. As the 76 minute mark approached, the Deisterbande coach decided it was time for a substitution. M. Comenius reluctantly made way for I. Erdmannsdorff on the pitch. Deisterbande had most of the ball, with 51 percent of possession.

As neither team was able to break the deadlock before the end of regular play, the teams took to the field again for extra time. After 92 minutes, following yet another great corner, M. Warnecke's flick on at the near post reached I. Kolenkov, who was just wide with his snapshot - the ball went out for a goal kick. Deisterbande's A. Franzreb could have put the guests one up after 93 minutes after chasing a through ball from the right, but A. Dijksman was as fast as a snake, grabbing the ball from under his nose. It wasn't a pretty goal, but the free kick by A. Rattanapaisarn after 96 minutes somehow found its way past the keeper. Westerholt takes the lead, 2 - 1! This put an end to extra time, making Westerholt the winners. C. Sevilla performed admirably for Westerholt. A. Dijksman was a disappointment, however. Most important Deisterbande player was L. Westfalen. J. Mittendorfer turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 2 - 1.
