It was 0 - 0 at the break. Foxies had most of the ball, with 67 percent of possession.

A review of the gameplan helped Galacticos get back to a solid organisation when the referee blew his whistle again. V. Meštrović would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. B. Jokanović entered the game for Galacticos as the match clock showed 58 minutes. As the 62 minute mark approached, the Galacticos coach decided it was time for a substitution. N. Ćuk reluctantly made way for M. Vidić on the pitch. Foxies had a good opportunity to take the lead as R. Lieb came up the left side, but he struck the ball weakly and it went straight into the arms of V. Poklepović. Making his way up the middle 74 minutes into the match, M. Pfeiffer almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert V. Poklepović blocked it to keep the score level. The referee showed Foxies's M. Appel the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. A loud groan was heard from the fans of Galacticos, as M. Vidić left the pitch in too much pain to finish the match. T. Trošić took his place on the field. 77 minutes into the game, Galacticos seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to inadequate. Slack defending gave Foxies a chance to take the lead with 79 minutes played, but G. Rakoca's cross from the left flank was fumbled in front of the goal and easily dealt with by the opposition. Foxies enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 65 percent of possession.

Still tied after 90 minutes, the match continued into extra time. Despite his frustration resulting in the smashing of a few teacups, the coach of Galacticos was able to get his message across, and raised Galacticos's organisation to solid. G. Rakoca's early cross saw the defenders caught out of position and the alert M. Pfeiffer was able to pounce and roll the ball past the hapless goalkeeper to score for Foxies. 1 - 0. What a dramatic win for Foxies! The most dominating Foxies player was without a doubt D. Schneider. On the other hand, P. Cach's play was disheartening. Most important Galacticos player was G. Wouters. V. Poklepović was a disappointment, however. The match ends 1 - 0.
