JET clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. The home keeper expected a move to the right, but M. Waterinckx surprised him with a free kick aimed the other way 2 minutes into the match. 0 - 1 for karaliai. P. Pazūkas of karaliai took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 8 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 2. karaliai's R. Just a few inches to the right, and the visitors could have had a goal 35 minutes into the match. M. Waterinckx surely wishes he could do that free kick over again. 0 - 3 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to karaliai, who controlled the ball 75 percent of the time.

58 minutes into the game a free kick by M. Waterinckx found its way through the home side's poorly assembled defensive formation, making karaliai's lead 0 - 4. V. Dvoychenkov came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over M. bin Hj Lamat but overcooked it and hit the bar instead. After 71 minutes, karaliai's P.
