3301 spectators arrived at
Inferno Arena, where weather conditions were pretty good for football.
Ralph Hönle was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Jean-Rémy Faucon and
Paolo Chiaverotti.
RAM10CM decided to use a 2-5-3 set up.
The following players took the field: Baltierra - Bötticher, Geiger - Avidar, Freire, Lindqvist, Bran, Andrusov - Himanka, Fuchs-Robettin-Ettel, Tourné.
Stonefield tactics involved an interesting 2-5-3 combination.
They fielded: Brückmann - Haunschmidt, Sisauri - Schabler, Wirnsberger, Binder, Schuberth, Hager - Pammer, Hofer, Fuchshuber.
Stonefield's
M. Fuchshuber managed to lose the defenders as he advanced down the right wing and scored, putting the visitors ahead after 6 minutes. 0 - 1.
18 minutes into the game, Stonefield seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to
solid.
The home crowd was not impressed when
F. Pammer came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 22 minutes. Stonefield were now up 0 - 2.
M. Bran received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly 26 minutes into the match, probably out of lack of experience, and almost let an opponent score.
F. Pammer came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over
J. Baltierra but overcooked it and hit the bar instead.
Some fine movement on the left led to a Stonefield goal after 28 minutes, making it 0 - 3.
J. Haunschmidt was noted down as the scorer.
By now, the players in Stonefield felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward.
P. Schabler was the first to reach the corner kick, but his header was blocked by the keeper. However, Stonefield's
M. Fuchshuber managed to get hold of the rebound and tucked the ball into the empty net. 0 - 4
Halftime score was 0 - 4.
Stonefield had most of the ball, with 75 percent of possession.
A review of the gameplan helped Stonefield get back to a
solid organisation when the referee blew his whistle again.
The coach of Stonefield was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 56 minutes,
S. Mandl came on for
P. Schabler.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
M. Schuberth from Stonefield a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 67 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
Unfortunately for RAM10CM,
Y. Avidar was injured when the game became more physical, and he had to leave the field.
P. Herda replaced him.
C. Tourné charged down the left and looked sure to score for RAM10CM 69 minutes into the game, but his shot went just wide.
After 72 minutes
V. Andrusov could have reduced the lead with a blistering strike from the left wing, had it not been for an excellent block by the visitors' keeper.
R. Freire of RAM10CM received a yellow card after 73 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
With 75 minutes played,
G. Binder nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar.
81 minutes into the match,
J. Haunschmidt came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide.
A misunderstanding between the visitors' keeper
W. Brückmann and his left defence could have resulted in a goal for RAM10CM, but
E. Himanka's finish was way too lame.
The home crowd cheered when, after 88 minutes,
C. Hofer's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day.
RAM10CM's
C. Tourné had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 88 minutes having been played.
G. Terzapi was the replacement.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Stonefield, with 76 percent of the ball.
E. Fuchs-Robettin-Ettel performed admirably for RAM10CM.
M. Bran on the other hand, had a terrible day.
Most important Stonefield player was
F. Wirnsberger.
On the other hand,
E. Sisauri's play was disheartening.
The match ends 0 - 4.
