Against a lesser team, 61 could very well have succeeded with their smart indirect free kick routine after 19 minutes. A trio of passes took the ball all the way past the defenders, but by then the intended recipient was already blocked off and the keeper could make a leisurely save. After 24 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as 61 found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to passable. S. Delavallée received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 27 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 2. The 61 fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. Halftime score was 0 - 2. 61 enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 53 percent of possession.

A review of the gameplan helped 61 get back to a solid organisation when the referee blew his whistle again. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, DEVYOL's J. Camps was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 52 minutes. H. Ladin was given a chance to change things around. At 55 minutes into the game, DEVYOL's N. Ljungstål deftly knocked the ball home after an impressive run down the left, reducing the visitors' lead to 1 - 2. With 61 minutes played, seemingly due to lack of experience, D. Stevanović needlessly tripped an opponent just outside the penalty area, but the free kick that followed didn't succeed. A defender managed to keep the ball from crossing the goal-line after a curling shot coming in from the right from Y. Berko after 67 minutes, and prevented 61 from going up another goal. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, O. Karger got himself booked. The manager of DEVYOL was not happy. DEVYOL's B. Temml refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 69 minutes. B. Weckes of 61 took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 82 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 1 - 3. Had it not been for one of the home defenders, J. Ragnarsson would have put 61 up another goal 83 minutes into the match with his audacious lob from the right wing. After 84 minutes 61's E. Buker limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. 88 minutes into the game, 61 seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to passable. After 88 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for B. Weckes who increased 61's lead to 1 - 4. By now, the players in 61 felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. The referee showed 61's B. Weckes the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. 61 claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 55 percent.

DEVYOL's best player was H. Ladin. L. Skaliczki was a disappointment, however. The most dominating 61 player was without a doubt J. Ragnarsson. However, J. Jandel made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 1 - 4.
