2565 spectators arrived at Limanowski Stadium, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Ernest Lajciak was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Paolo Fellini and David Sunesson. Racovia1921 started off with a 4-3-3 lineup. Racovia1921 clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. After 9 minutes, Gabre put themselves up 0 - 1, as K. Doudelet finished off a strike from the left with a real cannonball of a shot. The referee signalled a penalty 18 minutes into the game following an offence which looked like it was outside the box. G. Milquet knocked it home to make the score 0 - 2. D. Gniecki did everything he could to get one back for his Racovia1921, but keeper N. Garrousse denied him with a spectacular block. With 27 minutes played, seemingly due to lack of experience, K. Doudelet needlessly tripped an opponent just outside the penalty area, but the free kick that followed didn't succeed. K. Doudelet increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 3. 32 minutes into the game, Racovia1921 seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to passable. With 34 minutes played, S. Salmon nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. After the ball was lifted in from the left, S. Salmon was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 39 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 3. Gabre had most of the ball, with 69 percent of possession.

Despite his frustration resulting in the smashing of a few teacups, the coach of Racovia1921 was able to get his message across, and raised Racovia1921's organisation to solid. Gabre's S. Salmon was shown a yellow card after 47 minutes for slicing down an opponent. The home crowd cheered when, after 58 minutes, D. Falagiani's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Gabre coach let C. Fanni replace J. Corijn after 70 minutes. Racovia1921's P. Procner was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 70 minutes. 72 minutes into the match, K. Doudelet came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. The head of J. Soetaert connected with a corner kick after 73 minutes, and the ball ended up with K. Doudelet of Gabre who blasted the ball into the net, making the score 0 - 4. This third goal completed a hattrick for K. Doudelet. Confident in their lead, Gabre's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. The coach of Gabre was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 76 minutes, A. Tălpeanu came on for D. Falagiani. J. Soetaert left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 80 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. G. Greeve was the replacement. Gabre claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 64 percent.

The most dominating Racovia1921 player was without a doubt W. Gawlikowski. B. Niewiarowski was a disappointment, however. Gabre's top performer was clearly G. Milquet. S. Salmon turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 4.
