Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and
pT Office saw a crowd turnout of 1569.
Felipe Chapartegui was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
David Kihlstedt and
Alfredo Maia.
poinTTurk started off with a 5-3-2 lineup.
Starters: Kanarek - Soyutürk, Schlosser, Löw, Deteşan, Jaroszyk - Makber, Tığlı, Mahmudov - Kırtay, Otlu.
Antares decided to use a 4-4-2 set up.
They fielded: Arandas - Cabrera, Guerra, Hernandez, Molina - Buendía, Martínez, Alcarás, Izaguirre - Peñarrubia, Mojica.
The wings were the focus of most of poinTTurk's attacks today.
The most controversial moment of the game was likely the penalty given after 19 minutes. Antares's
A. Alcarás kept his concentration, despite the upset crowd, and calmly put the ball past the keeper to make the score 0 - 1.
23 minutes into the game, Antares seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to
solid.
İ. Tığlı of poinTTurk received a yellow card after 37 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
After 40 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Antares found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to
passable.
poinTTurk's
C. Deteşan made a successful breakthrough on the left after 41 minutes and should have levelled the score, but instead he clipped it over the bar.
Given a free kick close to the byline, Antares tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let
N. Hernandez slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 0 - 2, 43 minutes into the game.
Halftime score was 0 - 2.
Antares claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 66 percent.
Despite his frustration resulting in the smashing of a few teacups, the coach of Antares was able to get his message across, and raised Antares's organisation to
solid.
poinTTurk needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 46 minutes
İ. Tığlı made way for
M. Cedit.
K. Soyutürk was the new captain of poinTTurk - handed the armband by the departing player.
79 minutes into the game, Antares seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a
passable level of organisation.
N. Otlu sailed high above the opponents as he headed in a corner kick from
P. Jaroszyk after 82 minutes of play, making the score 1 - 2.
No matter how hard he tried,
C. Deteşan just couldn't get his shot past the visitors' right side defence after 84 minutes.
Having been awarded a free kick in an awkward position after 88 minutes, Antares did not go for a shot but instead fired the ball hard into the 6 yard box. After a brief tussle with his marker,
F. Cabrera was able to power the ball past the keeper to make the score 1 - 3.
89 minutes into the match Antares's
F. Izaguirre viciously shoved another player from behind while going for a loose ball and was sent off the pitch with a red card.
Antares enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 67 percent of possession.
The most dominating poinTTurk player was without a doubt
M. Kırtay.
M. Cedit was a disappointment, however.
I. Peñarrubia performed admirably for Antares.
N. Arandas turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 1 - 3.
