Dark skies made the crowd of 1564 at BIG ARENA a little nervous, but the rain held off. Egilof Quadbeckk-Seeger was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Viljo Graps and Kristoffer Lundman. Rinaldi had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. Rinaldi's D. Arocena was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 10 minutes. 0 - 1 was the score with 17 minutes played, after S. Santala cut through the central defence and chipped home a goal for Serpientes. Rinaldi's G. Atanes had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 23 minutes having been played. S. Bento was the replacement. Halftime score was 0 - 1. Serpientes claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 60 percent.

With 47 minutes played, Serpientes's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to H. Lacaze he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 0 - 2. Rinaldi's L. Villarego left the field after 56 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was S. Mercadante. B. Ovelleiro caught everyone off guard with a great opening pass - but unfortunately W. Wasiolek was as surprised by the move as anybody else, and managed to miss the extraordinary opportunity. It took several tries, but Rinaldi managed to break through on the left after 68 minutes, getting the ball to S. Bento who easily reduced the lead to make the score 1 - 2. V. Pešić of Serpientes took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 71 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 1 - 3. Serpientes had most of the ball, with 60 percent of possession.

J. Quadra performed admirably for Rinaldi. However, V. Bazulev made a disastrous appearance. Serpientes's top performer was clearly R. Creytz. On the other hand, H. Smidt's play was disheartening. The match ends 1 - 3.
