A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 2393 to Rigi Arena. Cédrick Bouillon was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Pat Barton and Magnus Åkesson. Echo tried to focus their attacks down the middle. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for Echo, as they moved the ball from the wings to the middle with startling regularity. The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to V. Óttarsson, but the Echo player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 1 - 0! L. Conţiu finished off a quick charge from the left of the field by chipping the ball just past the home side's keeper, making the score 1 - 1 35 minutes into the match. M. Agapie enjoyed the sunshine and demonstrated his stunning technique over and over again. They were singing the praises of M. Blagoev 39 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 2 - 1 to Echo. M. Bârzu of ARCIUMIDEL was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. Y. Vahip squirmed through their central defence after 43 minutes, increasing the lead to 3 - 1. Echo's Y. Vahip got himself booked for a foul. ARCIUMIDEL were forced into a substitution as J. Beltrán Pedreira couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing G. da Merca to come in off the bench. With 44 minutes played, Echo put themselves up 4 - 1 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to M. Blagoev, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. Echo's D. Bonneville was shown a yellow card after 44 minutes for slicing down an opponent. It was 4 - 1 at the break. Echo enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 72 percent of possession.

With 60 minutes played, the ARCIUMIDEL coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. A. Andrade came on, H. Gheorghe had to leave the fray. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, ARCIUMIDEL's M. Dobrescu was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 60 minutes. F. Deaconu was given a chance to change things around. C. Kötzting could have put Echo up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 66 minutes. Echo managed to extend their lead to 5 - 1 when D. Bonneville cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. L. Conţiu behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 80 minutes as he gave the ball away to Y. Vahip. Lucky for him though, there was no goal. Echo solidified their lead at the 81 minute mark, as C. Kötzting dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 6 - 1. By now, the players in Echo felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. G. Maat should probably have put his team up another goal after 85 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by R. Gâlea kept the visitors in the game. Echo players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead. Cheers filled the stadium as D. Bonneville broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 7 - 1 to Echo. N. Feuz increased the lead for Echo to 8 - 1, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! Echo claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 71 percent.

The most dominating Echo player was without a doubt C. Kötzting. On the other hand, J. Feijoo's play was disheartening. M. Agapie performed admirably for ARCIUMIDEL. P. Tempsch turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 8 - 1.
