Dark skies made the crowd of 3293 at 'Fair Play' Arena a little nervous, but the rain held off. l7 showed off their creative tactics. Vikings tried to focus their attacks down the middle. l7 fans held their breath as V. Kankaanpää scampered down the left side. Räikkönen lofted a free kick over the crossbar. There was concern in the stands when, at the 42 minute mark, Vikings's A. Coelho hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. l7 managed to extend their lead to 3 - 0 when V. Kankaanpää cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. This third goal completed a hattrick for V. Kankaanpää. l7 put themselves up 4 - 0 when O. Schoener broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of l7 to 5 - 0 as J. The players of l7 now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. The teams went for the halftime break at 5 - 0. l7 had most of the ball, with 65 percent of possession.

A. Zamaloa's inexperience was obvious when his continual hesitation to put in a tackle allowed C. Bublil plenty of time to pick an unguarded area of the goal for his shot, marking one for l7. 6 - 0. l7 increased the lead as O. Sträuli struck to make the score 7 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. l7's B. Kharaishvili left the field after 75 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was M. Jury. R. Cosse was clearly tired at the end of the game. O. Sträuli nicked the ball from him, but was unable to put it past the keeper. 86 minutes in, Vikings's D. Trespuentes received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. After 87 minutes, M.
