(394060026)

15-08-2012 14.45
The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 8019 had shown up at
Thrash Arena for the match.
Ozren Ćirović was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Jason Correa and
Frithjof Ingbert.
CBSC tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.
They fielded: Angelov - Druppers, Bruch, Boué - Antonić, Bordeianu, Britz, Marraccini, Hoytema - Dyer, Bech Jørgensen.
FCBarcom decided to use a 2-5-3 set up.
Lineup: Valverde - Bautista, Faria Souza - Paz, Cancino, Seefelde, Duarte, Mora - Cambronero, Briceño, Camacho.
Today, CBSC's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks.
Attacking on the wings was the choice for CBSC, and they were successfully passing the ball from the middle to the wings to attack.
The home side put themselves ahead 1 - 0 after 2 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from
T. Dyer, who scored with a stunning volley following a cross from the right wing.
Things were deteriorating for the away team as CBSC scored another to make it 2 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for
B. Hoytema after 8 minutes.
A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in CBSC's
L. Antonić increasing the lead to 3 - 0.
CBSC managed to extend their lead to 4 - 0 when
G. Boué cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper.
The players of CBSC now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle.
The referee showed CBSC's
L. Bech Jørgensen the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
Cheers filled the stadium as
L. Antonić broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 5 - 0 to CBSC.
CBSC were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings.
With 35 minutes played, CBSC put themselves up 6 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to
L. Bech Jørgensen, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home.
It was 6 - 0 at the break.
CBSC enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 69 percent of possession.
The score became 7 - 0 at 49 minutes into the game, when CBSC were given a penalty which
K. Druppers blasted straight down the middle giving the keeper no chance!
CBSC solidified their lead at the 68 minute mark, as
T. Dyer dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 8 - 0.
J. Bruch unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide.
It was obvious that CBSC had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle.
CBSC's
L. Bech Jørgensen had an excellent opportunity after 81 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles!
CBSC claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 69 percent.
CBSC's best player was
M. Bordeianu.
L. Antonić turned in a dismal performance, however.
J. Paz performed admirably for FCBarcom.
However,
N. Bautista made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 8 - 0.
