Clear skies welcomed the 2584 spectators who had made their way to PSG AM Arena. Nuno Sá Carneiro was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Mónico Pech and Erben Heinen. PSG had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players took the field: Ozimina - Brandy, Aguirre, Örnstedt - Jablonkai, Lesmes, Gutknecht, Breitenmoser, Sindhukamol - Huynh, Antonin.

Wimbledon tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. Lineup: Ahmed - Cuninghame-Green, Gill, Farrelly - Kington, Carvell, Cleaves, Franklin, Carty - Berg, Beil.

PSG were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks. After some beautiful movement down the left wing, D. Breitenmoser scored for PSG putting them ahead 1 - 0, after 21 minutes. With 26 minutes played, the visitors could have drawn level after M. Cleaves came through the middle, but his kick went wide. After 27 minutes, PSG were awarded a free kick. Rather than shooting straight at goal, the taker went for an indirect variant which seemed to take his team mates a bit by surprise. D. Breitenmoser did attempt a finish, but from an awkward position, sending the ball into the away fans. Attacking on the wings was the choice for PSG, and they were successfully passing the ball from the middle to the wings to attack. PSG's A. Lesmes increased the lead to 2 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 31 minutes. At this point, it was obvious that the players of PSG lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. After 40 minutes, M. Franklin sent the corner kick right to N. Beil who headed it sharply past the keeper. 2 - 1! Cheers filled the stadium as S. Sindhukamol broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 3 - 1 to PSG. 3 - 1 was the halftime score. Possession in this half belonged to PSG, who controlled the ball 57 percent of the time.

After 46 minutes, Wimbledon switched C. Berg with J. Cassidy, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. The PSG players could smell victory in the air. D. Antonin wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for S. Lequeux after 46 minutes. Wimbledon's M. Cleaves got himself booked for a foul. A loud groan was heard from the fans of PSG, as A. Lesmes left the pitch in too much pain to finish the match. K. Ziąbski took his place on the field. K. Ziąbski became the new PSG captain. PSG managed to extend their lead to 4 - 1 when V. Brandy cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. S. Sindhukamol unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of PSG to 5 - 1 as J. Jablonkai finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. PSG's J. Jablonkai had an excellent opportunity after 69 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! PSG's J. Jablonkai swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball. PSG enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 65 percent of possession.

K. Ziąbski performed admirably for PSG. S. Lequeux on the other hand, had a terrible day. Wimbledon's best player was K. Carty. However, D. Ahmed made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 5 - 1.
