previous 1/3 next 3/3  Buturuga 3 - 1 Mosoiu (394074416)

Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 2058 to Buturuga mica Arena. Mikael Mikkonen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Mees van Aerde and Magnus Silverquist. Buturuga had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. They fielded: Marfany - Frăţiloiu, Ţepeş, Varga - Renaux, Serres, Nogorta, Desirée, Cojocărescu - Feier, Mardar.

Mosoiu started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Lineup: Buluc - Bărcan, Völker, Silveşan - Buda, Arghir, Roccetti, Selvik, Corbu - Bühlmann, Kvalvåg.

They were singing the praises of D. Desirée 30 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 1 - 0 to Buturuga. B. Serres could have put Buturuga up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 31 minutes. G. Cojocărescu fired a shot from distance after 34 minutes, but the long shot couldn't find the net for Buturuga. Mosoiu's counterattacks were lethal to the opposing defence, allowing A. Kvalvåg to score easily from the right flank for 1 - 1. 1 - 1 was the score after the first half. Buturuga claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 59 percent.

65 minutes into the game, Mosoiu wanted to bring some new energy to their game. V. Corbu gave L. Cozma a quick hug as he left the field. Making his way up the middle 70 minutes into the match, V. Feier almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert R. Buluc blocked it to keep the score level. N. Renaux gave Buturuga the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 2 - 1 Buturuga increased the lead as B. Mardar struck to make the score 3 - 1 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. With 80 minutes played, seemingly due to lack of experience, M. Nogorta needlessly tripped an opponent just outside the penalty area, but the free kick that followed didn't succeed. Mosoiu had a fair chance to reply after 81 minutes due to some fine moves down the left, but in the end J. Selvik was slow to keep up with the play and was unable to make it into the penalty box to apply a finish. T. Roccetti of Mosoiu was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Buturuga, with 54 percent of the ball.

The most dominating Buturuga player was without a doubt I. Ţepeş. D. Frăţiloiu was a disappointment, however. L. Cozma performed admirably for Mosoiu. R. Buluc on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 3 - 1.
